OpenWISP Endorses LEDE

Note: LEDE was an OpenWRT fork which was later merged back into it and used as a base to move forward; this news item is kept just for historic purposes.

We deeply appreciate the efforts of the LEDE (Linux Embedded Development Environment) project in creating a community of enthusiast hackers that collaborate and work transparently to create a sustainable, secure, modern, stable and performant linux distribution for embedded applications, routers and network devices in general.

For the previously stated reasons, the OpenWISP project endorses LEDE and its now defaulting to its new release: LEDE 17.01.
